Lisa Kunz

Originally from New York, Lisa Kunz comes to Baycrest with a combination of talents. After showing in upper equitation in her junior years, she became a professional rider when she came to Los Angeles. She has been hired as a trainer/rider for David Josiah, Tracey Wade, and the late Rosey Reed among others. She has also worked as barn manager for Meadow Grove Farm and the renowned grand prix rider Francie Steinwedell-Carvin.

In addition to some of the great talent that she has been fortunate enough to work with, she spent a year assisting an equine veterinarian here in California, and has extensive knowledge of horse care, medication and nutrition.

Now that she rides less frequently, her focus has been training the young rider. Her students have gone on to show successfully and some have gone into the horse business professionally themselves. Her passion for horses and the sport of show jumping is eclipsed only by her passion for bringing along young riders and exposing them to the same wonderful experience she herself had as a child. .
