Lesson Rates:
Effective March 1, 2011
|
Payments:
All lesson packages must be paid for IN ADVANCE either by check or cash. The 5 Lesson Package is valid for 60 Days, and the 10 Lesson Package is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.
Cancellations:
Baycrest Riding School must be contacted at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson time to receive credit for that lesson. This is a strict policy because of the amount of preparation required to get the horse ready, and because horses and arena time need to be made available for other students.
Horse Shows:
Daily Lease of Lesson Horse for a Show $100/Day
Summer Camp:
Every year our riding school has a very popular riding camp. Feel free to ask any of our staff for details. Sessions are weekly, and held on the last 2 weeks of June, July, and August.
Additional Information:
Baycrest Riding School is committed to providing a SAFE and enjoyable environment for the student to learn not only how to ride, but also how to handle, groom, and care for a horse. Our horses are exceptional teachers, and very safe and sweet. However, like any sport, it needs to be done safely. We ask that you purchase absolutely the BEST helmet your budget will allow. It should be an ASTM approved helmet, and can be purchased at any saddlery for anywhere from $50 - $600
Group lessons have no more than 3-4 riders at a time. Since lessons on the weekends in particular are very popular, missing more than 2 lessons in a row will no longer guarantee your spot at that time.
For your first few lessons it is not necessary to buy all of your riding attire. It is acceptable to ride in flat-soled shoes with a low heel (no sneakers), slim-fitting pants (no shorts), and hair neatly tied back in a ponytail or tucked under the helmet. We have quite a few helmets, half-chaps, breeches, boots, gloves, etc. that students are welcome to borrow for the first few lessons. Please let us assist you in the purchases of any of your own equipment. There are lots of choices out there, and we would be happy to help you spend your money properly.
